The city of Bangalore has numerous tourist attractions to keep its visitors busy. Right from beautiful gardens to serene lake to magnificent palaces, the city offers a wide variety to those who are planning to go on Bangalore sightseeing tours. Check out the information given below before going on a tour to Bengalooru, India.

If you want to have one-day or two-days trips in Bangalore you may ask Bangalore Tour Operator to arrange a One-day Packaged Site Seeing Trip in Bangalore. Also there are Special Open Buses conducting Site Seeing Trips in Bangalore.

Alternatively, you can book a Car Rental in Bangalore or take an Auto Rickshaw (Indian Tuk Tuk)

(Important Travel Spots within Bangalore are listed in four pages according to direction from MG Road area. Please visit all four pages to get a comprehensive idea. We have also given all important Tourist Locations outside Bangalore within 100 Km Distance.)

If you dont have much time and want to have 1 day or 2 days trips in Bangalore, please avoid the following tourist spots or monuments.
Venkatappa Art Gallery, Bal Bhavan Bangalore, Bangalore Public Library, Nehru Planetarium Bangalore, Gandhi Bhavan Bangalore, Gavi Gangadhareswara Cave Temple, Dharmaraja Temple & Dargah Hazarat, Ulsoor Lake, Kemp Fort and Sitting Siva Statue, Gurudwara of Bangalore, White Field from the following list.
i) M.G. Road and Brigade Road Area
ii) Commercial Street
iii) Forum Mall Area in Koramangala.
This would help you save time.

(It is always recommended that you visit every important spot in Bangalore. It is wrong to say that one of these monuments or tourist attractions is less important compared to others. However, if you have very limited time to spend in Bangalore, we have to be realistic to understand that some of this spots needs to be avoided on your current visit. If you have children with you, then you CAN NOT avoid visiting Planetarium, Bal Bhavan etc. And unless your children want to go for boating or you want to try swimming in the Swimming pool, you can always postpone visiting Ulsoor Lake till your next visit.

Kempfort (Name changed to Total Mall now.) and sitting Siva Statue were originally built to attract tourists to a privately owned Shopping mall. If you are genuinely spiritually oriented, you may some times, feel uncomfortable with the fact that religious beliefs are exploited for commercial purpose.

It doesnt make much sense you going to all shopping areas and malls. After all, each mall and shopping area, you get more or less same brands for same price. The decision is yours.

In the wake of recent terrorist attacks, security measures are tightened in and around Vidhan Souha Area. It is very difficult to go inside the Vidhan Soudha and have an inside look unless you have some one to recommend you. It is better to view these historical monuments and buildings, from distance.)

Must see places in Bangalore are:

1) Cubbon Park, Bangalore Museum, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Vidhan Soudha & Vikas Soudha, Attara Kacheri, (there is practical difficulty to enter inside these buildings due to heightened security measures.) Bangalore Palace, Tipu Sultan Fort, Tipu's Palace in Bangalore, Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Bangalore City Market or Krishna Raja Market (K. R. Market), Bannerghatta National Park (Safari is a lovely experience. you can avoid spending much time in Zoo if you plan to visit Mysore Zoo, which is much bigger and have more animals.), The Nandi Temple or the Bull Temple.

This is only a suggestion. Based on your tastes you may add other places and skip visiting some of these. Visiting BannerGhatta National Park and Bull Temple may take more time. Many people avoid visiting BannerGhatta National park just because it is located too far from Central Bangalore.
